11 TIPS FOR HAPPY FLYING!
- Reserve a comfortable seat: Same class seats can vary greatly. (Use www.SEATGURU.com to find the best seat options i.e recline, leg room, electrical outlets, seat width etc.) Exception is Southwest
- Go prepared with a pillow and blanket (some airlines provide them , some charge)
- Purchase and use Sound Cancelling devices (also used as headphones for entertainment) <>$100+
- Take your own entertainment (IPOD (movies), IPAD (music), games, e-books, magazines etc.)
- Bring your own snack, food etc….i.e. nuts, raisins, chips, fruit etc. (We take Meal Bars also)
- Exercise regularly – get up and walk on long journeys avoid DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis)
- Be sure your seat reclines – SEATGURU.com Mentioned earlier but very important!!!!
- Prepare for the dry atmosphere on the plane i.e. eye drops, nose drops, lip balm, drink lots of water (can purchase past security or take empty containers and fill before boarding. Most can be purchased in sizes less than 1oz.
- Don’t watch the clock (this makes the trip seem longer).
- Pack lightly to try to avoid checking luggage if there is a charge. Carry- on luggage can carry a LOT use Packing Cubes (available at R.E.I. Around $12+ depending on size).
- Wear slip-on shoes for easy removal for speeding up your trip through security

- Everyone carry their own bag - rollers are best
- Pack essentials FIRST i.e. enough diapers for example for toddlers in tow, wet-wipes etc.
- Have a family plan for airport security - loading the moving belts with all luggage at once and having older children go through security first and keep an eye out for belongings.
- Be sure to take water bottles EMPTY to fill after security with water and add perhaps drink packets to them
- Prepare the journey of flying with kids like packing for a camping trip - essentials for entertainment snacks etc. games
- Don't overfeed kids, excitement and too much food causes them to get motion sickness and this will avoid....well.....vomit

Santa's Workshop will be recreated in the Heavenly Village inside of a 16-foot snow globe. Head inside the snow globe to sit on Santa's lap for a unique photo opportunity. Enjoy holiday music from a live DJ and watch Carolers perform.

Ice Spectacular
Heavenly Ice Rink
Join us nightly during Heavenly Holidays to watch some of the most talented skaters in the country perform on the Heavenly Village Ice Rink. The ice skating shows will be different each night, so come back nightly to see a new show. The shows come to a close on Monday, Dec 29 with the grand finale show.

The three-day event is set to take place on the campus of Lake Tahoe Community College December 29-31.
